Race condition in Apple's kernel state management lets a malicious sandboxed app escape its sandbox and execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS and watchOS. Exploitation requires a timing window to be won (CVSS AC:H) but no user interaction beyond launching the app, and success yields full control of the affected device. Apple shipped fixes in iOS/iPadOS 26.7 and 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7, macOS Golden Gate 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27 and watchOS 27; no public exploit code or CISA KEV listing was present in the provided data, and no EPSS

A race condition was addressed with improved state management. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7 and iPadOS 26.7, iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, watchOS 27. A sandboxed app may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.
Executive ViewAI
A high-severity flaw in Apple's kernel affects iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple TV, Vision Pro, and Apple Watch, and could let a malicious app installed on a device break out of its sandbox and take full control of the hardware. Because the affected platforms span executive mobile devices, laptops, and conference-room/AV hardware, a single compromised app could expose corporate data and credentials on any managed Apple endpoint. Apple has already released fixes, so exposure is limited to the window before fleets are updated.
Within 24 hours, inventory Apple devices across iOS/iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS and confirm which remain on unpatched builds, prioritizing executive, finance, and remote-access users; communicate a freeze on installing unvetted third-party apps pending update. Within 7 days, deploy vendor-released patches: iOS/iPadOS 26.7 and 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7, macOS Golden Gate 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27, using your MDM to push updates in waves and track compliance to closure. Within 30 days, verify 100% coverage through MDM reporting, remediate any devices that cannot be updated (offboarding, replacement, or network restriction), and re-baseline app-installation policy for managed Apple endpoints.
Apply vendor patch.

Race conditions occur when multiple concurrent requests exploit the brief time gap between checking a condition and acting upon it (TOCTOU - Time of Check, Time of Use).
