| Exploitation Conditions | Exploitation requires (1) a valid, authenticated low-privileged ServiceNow AI Platform account (PR:L), and (2) that a user's plaintext password was actually unintentionally persisted into the affected system table - the AT:P metric reflects that this conditional persistence must have occurred, so it is not guaranteed in every instance. The attacker must be able to view/query that system table. What LIMITS exploitation: authentication is mandatory (no anonymous access), impact is confined to instances where the plaintext persistence actually happened, and it is resolved by upgrading to a fixed release (e.g., Australia Patch 4 Hot Fix 1 / Patch 4m / Patch 5, Zurich Patch 11 Hot Fix 1 / Patch 12 / Patch 13, Yokohama Patch 13 Hot Fix 4a, Xanadu Patch 11 Hot Fix 7a, per KB3228994). No user interaction by the victim is required (UI:N). |
| Impact | This is a credible but not emergency-grade priority, consistent with the vuln.today 'this_week' decision label. The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N) shows a network-reachable flaw of low complexity, but it is NOT unauthenticated: PR:L means an attacker must already hold a valid low-privileged ServiceNow account, and AT:P (Attack Requirements: Present) indicates exploitation depends on a precondition outside the attacker's direct control - namely that a user's plaintext password actually got persisted into the system table. The impact side is what drives the 7.1 score: VC:H (the disclosed plaintext credential is high-value confidentiality loss) plus subsequent-system impact (SC:H/SI:H), reflecting that a stolen plaintext password can be reused to access or alter resources beyond the originally authorized scope. No EPSS score, KEV listing, or PoC/exploit reference was provided in the input; ServiceNow explicitly states it is not currently aware of malicious exploitation. There is therefore no evidence of active exploitation or weaponization - the urgency here comes from the vendor advisory and decision label, not from exploitation telemetry. Net: a real, patch-this-week issue because it leaks credentials and enables lateral/privilege reuse, but gated behind authentication and a conditional trigger, so it is not a drop-everything unauthenticated RCE. |
| Exploit ScenarioDerived | An authenticated low-privileged ServiceNow user browses or queries a system table that, due to the flaw, retained another user's password in plaintext, and reads a credential they were never entitled to see. They then reuse that plaintext password to log in as the victim and access data or functions beyond their own authorization. No public exploit identified at time of analysis, and ServiceNow reports no known malicious exploitation. |

Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Oct 29, 2026
Plaintext password disclosure in ServiceNow AI Platform occurs when the platform unintentionally persists a user's cleartext credential in a system table, allowing an authenticated low-privileged user who can view that table to read a password they are not entitled to see. Exploitation requires a valid account and that the unintended persistence actually occurred; no victim interaction is required. ServiceNow has released fixed patch levels, states it is not aware of malicious exploitation, and no public exploit identified at time of analysis.
RemediationAI
Vendor-released patches fix CVE-2026-103094; apply the fixed release applicable to the deployed branch: Australia Patch 4 Hot Fix 1, Australia Patch 4m, Australia Patch 5, Australia Patch 2 Hot Fix 3b, Zurich Patch 10 Hot Fix 3a, Zurich Patch 11 Hot Fix 1, Zurich Patch 11m, Zurich Patch 12, Zurich Patch 13, Yokohama Patch 13 Hot Fix 4a, or Xanadu Patch 11 Hot Fix 7a. The vendor advisory is KB3228994 at https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB3228994. The supplied data does not describe a vendor workaround or compensating control; ServiceNow's stated guidance is to apply appropriate updates or upgrade to a patched release, and no public exploit identified at time of analysis.

Technical ContextAI · show details
ServiceNow AI Platform is an enterprise workflow platform whose data is stored in system tables; this CVE is an information-disclosure issue in which a user's plaintext password can be written into such a table instead of remaining protected. The input assigns no CWE, and the specific table, code path and trigger are not described in the available sources. The assessed CVSS 3.1 vector is AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N: the PR:L metric confirms that exploitation requires an authenticated low-privileged account, the changed scope and high confidentiality values reflect exposure of credentials beyond the initially authorized user, and there is no integrity or availability impact. The CVSS 4.0 vector's AT:P metric captures the additional precondition that the plaintext password must actually have been persisted; this is not guaranteed on every instance. The CPE cpe:2.3:a:servicenow:servicenow_ai_platform:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:* identifies the affected platform across the listed release branches, and ENISA EUVD lists version cutoffs for the Australia, Zurich, Yokohama and Xanadu branches.

DescriptionCVE.org
ServiceNow has remediated an information disclosure vulnerability that was identified in the ServiceNow AI Platform. This vulnerability could cause a user's plaintext password to be persisted in a system table, potentially exposing that password to a user who otherwise would not be entitled to view it.
ServiceNow remediated the vulnerability through security updates that address the unintended persistence of plaintext credentials. We are not currently aware of malicious exploitation against ServiceNow instances. We recommend customers promptly apply appropriate updates or upgrade to a patched release if they have not already done so.
Executive ViewAI
CVE-2026-103094 affects the ServiceNow AI Platform, where certain configurations may cause user passwords to be stored in cleartext, potentially exposing credentials to unauthorized low-privileged users. This could lead to lateral movement and unauthorized access to sensitive service management data, impacting IT operations and data confidentiality. Leadership should prioritize remediation to prevent insider threats and compliance breaches.
Apply vendor patch. If patching is delayed, restrict access to affected system tables to trusted administrators, enforce multi-factor authentication for all ServiceNow accounts, and monitor for unauthorized credential access attempts.
