Authenticated low-privilege API user (PR:L) on the adjacent management network (AV:A); read-only cross-switch data exposure gives C:L with no integrity or availability impact and no scope change.

2DescriptionCVE.org
A missing authorization check in Brocade Fabric OS versions before 10.0.1 REST API interface of affected platform releases allows an authenticated user, regardless of their assigned role or administrative scope, to retrieve complete Monitoring and Alerting Policy Suite (MAPS) violation data across all logical switches. An attacker with low-privilege API access can leverage this endpoint to dump chassis-wide system health metrics, port performance violations, and configuration data without appropriate privileges.
AnalysisAI
Missing authorization controls in the Brocade Fabric OS REST API on releases before 10.0.1 allow any authenticated API user - regardless of assigned role or administrative scope - to retrieve complete Monitoring and Alerting Policy Suite (MAPS) violation data across all logical switches. The exposure is limited to information disclosure of chassis-wide health metrics, port performance violations, and configuration data; there is no write, code-execution, or availability impact, and the attacker must already hold valid Fabric OS credentials and have adjacent/management-network reachability to the API. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires a valid authenticated Fabric OS account of ANY role - including low-privilege or restricted administrative scopes - with access to the REST API management interface; specifically it targets the MAPS (Monitoring and Alerting Policy Suite) violation-data REST endpoint on affected Fabric OS releases before 10.0.1. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuine but modest-priority issue, best characterized as information disclosure rather than a system-compromise flaw. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Vendor-released patch: Brocade Fabric OS 10.0.1 - the vendor advisory (https://support.broadcom.com/external/content/SecurityAdvisories/0/39139) identifies all releases before 10.0.1 as affected, so upgrading to 10.0.1 or a later supported release is the primary remediation and should be prioritized on chassis that are managed with delegated, low-privilege accounts. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
