AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:L
Network-reachable unauthenticated REST endpoint justifies AV:N/PR:N; stack trace leakage yields C:L; log-amplification disk exhaustion yields A:L with no integrity or scope change.

2DescriptionCVE.org
An Apache-proxied Dogtag CA REST endpoint exposed by IdM (POST /ca/rest/certrequests) returns HTTP 500 with internal Java stack traces for unauthenticated malformed requests. The same unauthenticated error path emits large multi-line stack traces into the CA debug log, creating a log-amplification resource exhaustion vector (disk growth and I/O contention) without requiring authentication.
AnalysisAI
Unauthenticated network attackers can elicit Java stack traces from Red Hat IdM's Dogtag CA REST enrollment endpoint (POST /ca/rest/certrequests) by submitting malformed requests, causing HTTP 500 responses that expose internal implementation details under CWE-209. The same error path simultaneously amplifies the CA debug log with large multi-line stack traces, creating a log-fill resource exhaustion vector that drives disk growth and I/O contention on affected RHEL 6 through 10 deployments. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | The Dogtag CA subsystem must be installed and running as part of an IdM deployment on RHEL 6-10; RHEL systems without IdM, or IdM configured with an external CA, are not affected. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 6.5 Medium score reflects two distinct but coupled impact planes: AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N indicates a trivially reachable, unauthenticated attack surface, while C:L captures reconnaissance value from stack trace exposure and A:L captures service degradation from log amplification. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Monitor https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-11873 for patched pki-ca and ipa package releases, as no specific fix version has been confirmed in available input data. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
