DescriptionCVE.org

The WPFunnels - Funnel Builder for WooCommerce with Checkout & One Click Upsell plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 3.12.7 via the 'logKey' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary .php files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where .php file types can be uploaded and included.

AnalysisAI

Local File Inclusion in the WPFunnels WordPress plugin (all versions through 3.12.7) allows authenticated administrators to include and execute arbitrary PHP files on the server via the unsanitized logKey parameter, yielding full remote code execution when combined with file upload capability. The attack requires administrator-level WordPress credentials and high complexity - specifically the ability to place a PHP file on the server - materially limiting the exploitable population. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires an active WordPress session with administrator-level privileges (or higher) on a site running WPFunnels 3.12.7 or earlier. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 score of 6.6 with vector AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H accurately captures the constrained but severe nature of this flaw. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An attacker who has acquired WordPress administrator credentials through phishing or credential stuffing uploads a PHP web shell to the server via the WordPress media uploader or theme/plugin editor. The attacker then sends an authenticated POST request to the vulnerable WPFunnels settings endpoint, supplying the server path to the uploaded shell in the `logKey` parameter, causing the plugin to include and execute the file. …
Remediation Administrators should update the WPFunnels plugin to a version beyond 3.12.7 immediately upon a confirmed patched release becoming available; a fix commit is referenced in the WordPress plugin changeset at https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?reponame=&old=3597260%40wpfunnels&new=3597260%40wpfunnels, but the exact patched version number is not independently confirmed from available data - monitor the Wordfence advisory and the WordPress.org plugin page for the confirmed release. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
