An integer overflow in Apple's file-processing code, fixed through improved input validation, allows a maliciously crafted file to cause disclosure of process memory on affected Apple platforms. Unpatched devices running iOS/iPadOS before 26.7 and 27, macOS before Sequoia 15.8, Tahoe 26.7 or Golden Gate 27, plus tvOS, visionOS and watchOS before 27 are exposed, but exploitation requires the victim to open the crafted file (CVSS UI:R). There is no public exploit code and no evidence of active exploitation; EPSS is very low at 0.18% (8th percentile) and CISA SSVC rates the issue non-automatable with only partial technical impact, and Apple has released patches.
