2DescriptionCVE.org
Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox application is vulnerable to arbitrary file write, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to create or write into existing files on the server with attacker-controlled content. This is possible because user input is written directly to files without proper validation or restriction on file types. As a result, an attacker can create files (e.g., .htm), containing malicious JavaScript code. When a user accesses a file created in this way, stored cross-site scripting is triggered. This issue affects TeamDavid through Rollout 524.
AnalysisAI
Arbitrary file write in the Webbox component of Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid (through Rollout 524) allows unauthenticated remote attackers to create or overwrite server-side files with attacker-controlled content, enabling persistent stored cross-site scripting. Because user input is written directly to disk without content or file-type validation, an attacker can plant .htm files containing malicious JavaScript that execute in any victim's browser upon access. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | No authentication or special privileges are required for the file write phase - the CVSS 4.0 vector (PR:N, AC:L, AT:N) confirms unauthenticated, low-complexity exploitation against any network-reachable Webbox instance. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 score of 8.5 is grounded in a credible vector: network-accessible (AV:N), low complexity (AC:L), no authentication (PR:N), no special timing (AT:N), and only passive user interaction (UI:P) to trigger the XSS phase. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Administrators should upgrade TeamDavid beyond Rollout 524; consult the vendor's release notes at https://david.tobit.software/releasenotes for the specific patched rollout number, as no exact fix version was confirmed in available data. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours: restrict network access to the Webbox component to trusted IP ranges and enable file integrity monitoring on TeamDavid storage directories to detect suspicious writes. …
