Reachable over the network but needs admin/editor privileges (PR:H) and a non-default server condition (no PHP zip extension), raising complexity (AC:H); successful write yields full RCE (C:H/I:H/A:H).

DescriptionCVE.org

The Unlimited Elements for Elementor WordPress plugin before 2.0.21 does not sanitise file paths inside uploaded archives before extracting them, allowing authenticated users with access to its asset-management feature (Administrators by default, or Editors when a non-default Unlimited Elements for Elementor WordPress plugin before 2.0.21 setting is enabled) to write arbitrary files, including executable PHP, outside the intended upload directory on servers where the PHP zip extension is unavailable, leading to Remote Code Execution.

AnalysisAI

Authenticated path traversal in the Unlimited Elements for Elementor WordPress plugin before 2.0.21 lets a privileged user (Administrator by default, or Editor when a specific non-default plugin setting is enabled) plant arbitrary files - including executable PHP - outside the intended upload directory, which can escalate to remote code execution. Exploitation requires two conditions to hold simultaneously: the attacker must already hold an account with access to the plugin's asset-management feature, and the target server must not have the PHP zip extension installed, since only the unsanitized fallback extraction path is vulnerable. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Two concrete prerequisites must both hold: (1) the attacker must be authenticated with access to the plugin's asset-management feature - Administrators by default, or Editors only when a specific non-default plugin setting is enabled; and (2) the target server must NOT have the PHP zip extension installed, because the vulnerable, unsanitized fallback extraction path is only used in that case. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment This is a genuine but constrained risk rather than an urgent widespread threat. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Upgrade the Unlimited Elements for Elementor plugin to version 2.0.21 or later (vendor-released patch: 2.0.21); this is the primary and preferred fix and follows the vendor advisory at https://wpscan.com/vulnerability/aefcaecf-024d-4ec7-9b67-69d21addea7b/ and the NVD entry https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-85015. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
