DescriptionCVE.org

An issue was discovered in Keyfactor SignServer before 7.6.0. A number of properties were identified to not have any restrictions to what path they can be set to by an admin user. Setting these properties to specific file paths can reveal information to the client side. Three specific properties were identified: The property ATTRIBUTESFILE in PKCS11CryotoToken can be set to a readable but not an accepted (i.e., recognized with attributes) file. In this case an error is thrown, confirming the existence of the file. The property KEYSTOREPATH in KeyStoreCryptoToken can be set to a non-existing file that will return an error confirming to the client side that the file does not exist. The property TRUSTSTOREPATH in RenewalWorker can be set to any path (without any restrictions) by an admin user. In the case that the provided path points to an existing file, readable by the user running the application server, but is not a recognized PEM format, it returns this as an error to the client side, confirming the existences of the file.

AnalysisAI

Local file enumeration in Keyfactor SignServer before 7.6.0 allows an authenticated administrator to confirm the existence and readability of arbitrary files on the application server by pointing configurable path properties at them and observing distinguishable error responses. The three affected properties are ATTRIBUTESFILE in PKCS11CryptoToken, KEYSTOREPATH in KeyStoreCryptoToken, and TRUSTSTOREPATH in RenewalWorker. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Requires an authenticated administrator account on Keyfactor SignServer (before 7.6.0) with the ability to set worker/crypto-token configuration properties - specifically ATTRIBUTESFILE on PKCS11CryptoToken, KEYSTOREPATH on KeyStoreCryptoToken, or TRUSTSTOREPATH on RenewalWorker. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment This is a genuinely low-priority issue and the signals are consistent, not conflicting. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Upgrade to Keyfactor SignServer 7.6.0 or later, the vendor-released fix version referenced in the advisory (https://support.keyfactor.com/hc/en-us/articles/46345356843291-SignServer-CVE-2026-25827-Local-File-Enumeration); this is the primary and complete remediation. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
