Local privilege escalation in the Linux kernel's sched_ext subsystem allows a low-privileged local attacker to achieve root access via a use-after-free error in the scx_root_enable_workfn() initialization failure path. The vulnerability is fixed by reordering the put_task_struct() call after scx_error() to prevent premature freeing of the task structure. No active exploitation or public exploit has been reported, and EPSS indicates low exploitation likelihood.
