DescriptionCVE.org

Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could exploit this, leading to unauthorized access. This vulnerability is considered critical as an unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly reuse a captured request to generate ADMIN access and refresh tokens. Since there is no nonce validation or time limit on requests, the attack can be performed indefinitely. Dell recommends customers to upgrade at the earliest opportunity

AnalysisAI

Unauthorized ADMIN access in Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) 5.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to replay a previously captured request indefinitely, forging ADMIN-level access and refresh tokens. Because the token-issuing flow performs no nonce validation and enforces no request expiry, a single intercepted request grants durable administrative control of the gateway. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires the attacker to have captured a valid request to SCG's token-issuance flow (e.g., via network interception), which can then be replayed with no authentication, no user interaction, and no per-request nonce or time limit to stop it. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The vendor CVSS of 9.8 (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/C:H/I:H/A:H) reflects unauthenticated network access yielding full ADMIN compromise, which is directionally correct for impact. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Vendor-released patch: upgrade the SCG 5.0 Appliance to 5.36.00.16 or later and the SCG 5.0 Application to 5.36.00.00 or later, per Dell advisory DSA-2026-382 (https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-in/000503426/dsa-2026-382-security-update-for-dell-secure-connect-gateway-virtual-edition-multiple-vulnerabilities). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
