Severity by source
AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
AC:H reflects the file-upload precondition required to escalate to RCE; PR:N is consistent with unauthenticated exploitation confirmed by description and CVSS source.

The Mane theme for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 1.7. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included.
AnalysisAI
Local File Inclusion in the Mane WordPress theme (all versions up to and including 1.7) allows unauthenticated remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary server-side PHP files, with a realistic path to full remote code execution when file upload functionality is accessible. The CVSS 8.1 score with AC:H signals that the most severe impact - arbitrary code execution - depends on a specific precondition, most likely an attacker-controlled file already present on the server filesystem. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Unauthenticated file disclosure via LFI requires only network access to a WordPress installation running Mane theme version 1.7 or earlier - no credentials or special configuration are needed, consistent with CVSS PR:N. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 8.1 (AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H) reflects a high-severity but conditionally exploitable vulnerability: unauthenticated network access with full CIA impact is offset by the AC:H designation, which captures the requirement for a specific precondition - almost certainly the presence of an attacker-controlled file on the server filesystem. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | An unauthenticated attacker, informed by the public Wordfence advisory, identifies a WordPress site running the Mane theme and locates the LFI-vulnerable request parameter. The attacker first uploads a PHP webshell embedded in a file with an image extension through the site's WordPress media upload endpoint or any theme-provided upload form, then sends a crafted HTTP request that supplies the uploaded file's server-side path to the vulnerable include parameter. … |
| Remediation | No vendor-released patch has been identified at time of analysis; operators should monitor the Wordfence advisory at https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/a71e330e-8673-49b4-8c31-63771533476f and the ThemeForest product page at https://themeforest.net/item/mne-a-modern-portfolio-theme-for-creatives/21333576 for a patched release. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, inventory all WordPress installations running the Mane theme through version 1.7 and verify which sites have active file upload functionality-this is the primary precondition for exploitation. …
