PLANET GS-4210-16P2S firmware before 3.441b260626 contains authenticated stack buffer overflow and null pointer dereference vulnerabilities in /cgi-bin/dispatcher.cgi. The web_radiusSrv*_post family of handlers copies the radKey, radKey_0, radDftParamKey, radName, and radIp POST parameters into fixed-size stack buffers without length validation, and additionally dereferences radName and radIp without verifying their presence in the request. A remote authenticated attacker can send crafted requests to crash the CGI process or web management service, resulting in denial of service.
AnalysisAI
Stack-based buffer overflow and null pointer dereference vulnerabilities in the PLANET GS-4210-16P2S managed PoE switch firmware (all versions before 3.441b260626) allow a remote authenticated attacker to crash the CGI-based web management service by submitting crafted POST requests to RADIUS server configuration handlers. The web_radiusSrv*_post handler family in /cgi-bin/dispatcher.cgi copies user-controlled parameters into fixed-size stack buffers without bounds checking and dereferences radName/radIp pointers without confirming their presence. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires valid high-privilege (administrative) credentials to the GS-4210-16P2S web management interface, as confirmed by PR:H in the CVSS 4.0 vector - unauthenticated exploitation is not possible. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 score of 6.9 reflects a network-accessible attack vector but is substantially moderated by the high-privilege authentication requirement (PR:H), which is the primary risk-reduction factor for this vulnerability. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | The primary remediation is to upgrade GS-4210-16P2S firmware to version 3.441b260626 or later, as confirmed by the Planet Technology security advisory at https://www.planet.com.tw/en/support/security-advisory/10. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
