2DescriptionCVE.org
SAP NetWeaver Business Client does not perform sufficient validation when processing certain locally stored data during application startup. An attacker with low privileges on the local system could replace this data with specially crafted content. When the application is next launched, the crafted content is processed and could lead to arbitrary code execution in the context of the user. This results in a high impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability of the application.
AnalysisAI
Arbitrary code execution in SAP NetWeaver Business Client (all versions per CPE) is achievable by a low-privileged local attacker who replaces application startup data with maliciously crafted serialized content. When the targeted user next launches the application, the deserialized payload executes in the user's security context, yielding full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires an authenticated local account on the same system as the targeted SAP NetWeaver Business Client installation, with filesystem write access to the directories or files that the application reads during startup. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 7.8 score (AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H) accurately reflects the local, low-complexity attack path with full CIA impact, though the AV:L constraint is a meaningful real-world limiter - exploitation requires an authenticated foothold on the victim's workstation. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Apply the patch detailed in SAP Security Note 3784138 (https://me.sap.com/notes/3784138), released as part of SAP's Security Patch Day. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
