Flowise before 3.1.3 contains a code injection vulnerability in the Airtable Agent node that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary Python code by bypassing the pythonCodeValidator blocklist through obfuscation techniques. Attackers can send crafted prompts to a chatflow using the Airtable Agent node to inject malicious Python code that executes in an unsandboxed pyodide environment with full access to the host operating system.

AnalysisAI
Remote code execution in Flowise before 3.1.3 lets attackers run arbitrary Python on the host by abusing the Airtable Agent node. Crafted chatflow prompts carry obfuscated Python that slips past the pythonCodeValidator blocklist and executes inside an unsandboxed pyodide runtime with full access to the underlying OS. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires a reachable Flowise chatflow (version < 3.1.3) that includes the Airtable Agent node and accepts prompts, plus a Python payload obfuscated to bypass the pythonCodeValidator blocklist. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuine high-priority issue: unauthenticated (per description) network-reachable RCE with full host impact (VC:H/VI:H/VA:H and subsequent-system SC/SI/SA:H), landing at CVSS 4.0 base 9.0. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | An attacker discovers an internet-exposed Flowise chatflow that wires in the Airtable Agent node and submits a prompt containing Python obfuscated to evade the pythonCodeValidator blocklist. The reconstructed payload executes in the unsandboxed pyodide runtime, giving the attacker command execution as the Flowise process and a foothold on the host. … |
| Remediation | Vendor-released patch: upgrade to Flowise 3.1.3 or later per GHSA-c5hr-rc98-xp3g (https://github.com/FlowiseAI/Flowise/security/advisories/GHSA-c5hr-rc98-xp3g). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, inventory all Flowise instances across production and development environments, document the deployed versions, and immediately disable the Airtable Agent node across all instances pending patching. …
