2DescriptionCVE.org
Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a directory traversal vulnerability in the getSyslogFile function. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient validation of the option field. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input containing path traversal sequences to access arbitrary files on the device. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface.
AnalysisAI
Directory traversal in DrayTek VigorSwitch's getSyslogFile web management function exposes arbitrary device filesystem files to authenticated administrators who supply crafted path traversal sequences in the option parameter. Twenty-eight VigorSwitch managed-switch models across the G, P, Q, PQ, FX, and PX product lines are confirmed affected, with firmware versions fixed at 2.9.10, 2.10.6, 2.10.7, 3.9.10, and 3.10.6 depending on the model. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the DrayTek VigorSwitch web management interface, confirmed by the CVSS 4.0 PR:H metric. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 score of 6.9 (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N) accurately reflects the principal tension in this vulnerability: high confidentiality impact bounded by a high privilege prerequisite. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | DrayTek has released firmware updates for all affected VigorSwitch models; consult the official security advisory at https://www.draytek.com/about/security-advisory/multiple-vulnerabilities-in-vigorswitch-series-august-2026/ for exact firmware filenames and download links. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
