Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a command injection vulnerability in the setDevNet function. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient filtering of the username and password fields before command execution. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface.
AnalysisAI
Command injection in DrayTek VigorSwitch's setDevNet function allows authenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands with root privileges by supplying crafted username or password values. At least ten VigorSwitch models are confirmed affected via CPE data, with the full tag list extending coverage to approximately 28 model variants. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the DrayTek VigorSwitch web management interface (confirmed by CVSS PR:H). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 score of 8.6 (with VC:H/VI:H/VA:H) accurately reflects the post-exploitation impact - root-level shell access on a network switch - but the PR:H requirement is a meaningful real-world mitigating factor. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Consult the DrayTek security advisory at https://www.draytek.com/about/security-advisory/multiple-vulnerabilities-in-vigorswitch-series-august-2026/ and apply the firmware update specified therein - an exact patched firmware version was not included in the available intelligence data and must be confirmed directly from DrayTek. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
