DescriptionCVE.org

Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a command injection vulnerability in the jsonstatus function. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient filtering of the usescript, usefile, and option fields before command execution. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface.

AnalysisAI

Command injection in DrayTek VigorSwitch's jsonstatus function allows authenticated remote administrators to execute arbitrary OS commands as root by submitting crafted values in the usescript, usefile, or option fields. At least 28 distinct VigorSwitch models across multiple firmware branches are confirmed affected per EUVD-2026-64974 and vendor advisory. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the DrayTek VigorSwitch web management interface - confirmed by both the CVE description ('valid administrative credentials') and the CVSS 4.0 PR:H metric. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N) indicates network exploitation with low complexity and no user interaction, but critically requires high privileges - valid administrative credentials. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation The primary fix is to upgrade each affected VigorSwitch model to its respective patched firmware version: 2.9.10 or later for G2540X, P2540X, G2280X, P2280X, G2121, P2121, PQ2121X, Q2121X, G2100, P2100, G1280, P1280, G1282, P1282, P1281X, PX2060, and Q2200X; 2.10.6 or later for G2282X and P2282X; 2.10.7 or later for Q2300X and PQ2300XB; 3.9.10 or later for FX2120, G2540XS, and P2540XS; 3.10.6 or later for G2542X, P2542X, and P2542XH. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
