Authenticated same-account actor gives PR:L; victim must import and run/deploy, so UI:R; injected code executes in the agent runtime beyond the toolkit, so S:C with full C/I/A impact.

Improper control of code generation in the agent import functionality of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit before 0.3.14 might allow an authenticated same-account actor to execute arbitrary code when a user imports and runs or deploys a Bedrock Agent, via crafted configuration values incorporated into generated Python source without safe literal encoding.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 0.3.14. Because this issue persists into generated source, upgrading alone is not sufficient: agents imported with an affected version must be re-imported with version 0.3.14 or later and their local and deployed output artifacts replaced.

AnalysisAI
Arbitrary code execution in AWS Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit before 0.3.14 allows an authenticated same-account actor to inject malicious Python code into generated agent source by importing a crafted Bedrock Agent configuration, which executes when the victim runs or deploys the agent. Exploitation requires the victim to import and then run or deploy the agent, and the actor must have valid same-account credentials. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires an authenticated same-account actor (PR:L) and active user interaction (UI:A): a victim must import a crafted Bedrock Agent configuration and then run or deploy it, at which point attacker-controlled configuration values that were incorporated into the generated Python source (without safe literal encoding) execute. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a code-injection flaw (CWE-94) in the AWS Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit where crafted configuration values are embedded into generated Python source without safe literal encoding, yielding arbitrary code execution. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Vendor-released patch: 0.3.14. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, inventory every developer workstation, container image, and CI/CD runner that has the AWS Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit installed and determine whether the version is below 0.3.14; freeze imports of untrusted or externally supplied Bedrock Agent configurations in the meantime. …
