Budibase server before 3.45.0 contains a cross-tenant information disclosure vulnerability in the GET /api/applications/:appId/appPackage endpoint that allows authenticated users to read another tenant's application metadata and source code. Attackers can supply a victim tenant's app id to retrieve sensitive application details including navigation structure, role names, internal screen URLs, JavaScript snippets, and user identifiers without authorization checks.
AnalysisAI
Cross-tenant information disclosure in Budibase Server before 3.45.0 allows an authenticated low-privilege user to read another tenant's application metadata and source code by supplying a victim tenant's app ID to the GET /api/applications/:appId/appPackage endpoint, which omits an ownership check. Successful exploitation exposes navigation structure, role names, internal screen URLs, embedded JavaScript snippets, and user identifiers belonging to the victim application. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires an authenticated low-privilege account on the Budibase server (PR:L) and a target application ID belonging to another tenant; realistic risk is highest in multi-tenant hosted or shared self-hosted deployments where multiple untrusted tenants coexist. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuine but bounded confidentiality issue rather than a critical priority. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade Budibase Server to 3.45.0 or later, which is the vendor-released fix in which the appPackage endpoint enforces tenant ownership of the requested appId (patch available per vendor; see GHSA-4946-qf2m-wrh5 at https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/security/advisories/GHSA-4946-qf2m-wrh5 and the VulnCheck advisory at https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/budibase-server-before-3.45.0-cross-tenant-information-disclosure). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, identify all Budibase Server instances running versions before 3.45.0 and determine whether they are multi-tenant; if so, restrict network access to the /api/applications/:appId/appPackage endpoint or temporarily disable multi-tenancy if feasible. …
