Remote code execution in phpMyFAQ before version 4.1.6 allows authenticated administrators with CONFIGURATION_EDIT and ATTACHMENT_ADD privileges to write arbitrary PHP files to the server. By uploading a malicious ZIP file as an attachment and then manipulating the upgrade.lastDownloadedPackage configuration setting to point to that file, an attacker can extract attacker-controlled PHP code into the web root, leading to code execution as the web server user. No known public exploit code or active exploitation has been reported at the time of this analysis.
