Capgo before 12.128.2 contains a cross-tenant preview namespace collision vulnerability caused by non-bijective decoding of double underscores to dots in preview hostname parsing. Attackers can register app IDs with underscores that collide with other tenants' dotted app IDs, causing preview misrouting and denial of preview access for victim applications.
AnalysisAI
Preview namespace collision in Capgo before 12.128.2 enables authenticated low-privileged tenants to hijack or deny preview routing for other tenants' applications by deliberately registering app IDs containing double underscores that decode identically to a victim's dot-separated app ID. The non-bijective hostname parsing - where __ maps to . …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | The attacker must hold a valid, authenticated Capgo tenant account (low-privilege - equivalent to any registered platform user). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:L/SA:L) scores 5.3, reflecting a medium-severity issue with network accessibility and low complexity but requiring low-privilege authentication and yielding only limited impact. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | An attacker registers a legitimate Capgo tenant account and creates an application using an app ID with double underscores in place of the dots used by a target victim's app ID - for example, registering `com__targetcorp__mobileapp` to collide with the victim's `com.targetcorp.mobileapp`. Once registered, Capgo's preview hostname parser decodes both to the same hostname segment, causing the platform to misroute preview traffic away from the victim's app, effectively denying the victim's developers access to their preview environment. |
| Remediation | Upgrade to Capgo version 12.128.2 or later, which resolves the collision by implementing a bijective encoding scheme that eliminates the ambiguity between double underscores and dots in app ID hostname construction. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
