DescriptionCVE.org

A vulnerability was found in wandb OpenUI up to 1.0/3.5-turb. Affected is the function generic_exception_handler of the file backend/openui/server.py of the component APIStatusError Handler. The manipulation of the argument key results in information exposure through error message. Access to the local network is required for this attack. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.

AnalysisAI

Information disclosure in wandb OpenUI up to version 1.0/3.5-turb allows authenticated local network attackers to expose sensitive information through error messages in the APIStatusError handler by manipulating the key argument. Publicly available exploit code exists, and the vendor has not responded to early disclosure notification. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Risk Assessment The CVSS v3.1 base score of 3.5 reflects low severity: attack vector requires local network adjacency (AV:A), low attack complexity (AC:L), and low privileges (PR:L), with confidentiality impact limited to low (C:L) and no integrity or availability impact. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An authenticated user on the same local network as an OpenUI deployment crafts a malicious API request with a specially crafted key parameter to the APIStatusError handler endpoint. The handler processes the request without sanitization and returns an error message containing sensitive information (such as system paths, configuration details, or internal state) that was embedded in the key value. …
Remediation Upgrade wandb OpenUI to a version newer than 1.0 or 3.5-turb. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
