2DescriptionCVE.org
ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to extract arbitrary data from the database by submitting the check_photo parameter as an array to bypass the clean_requests() sanitization function in ClipBucket.class.php. Attackers can pass unsanitized array elements through the bulk deletion handler in manage_photos.php to photo_exists() in photos.class.php, where non-numeric values are interpolated directly into a SQL query, enabling time-based blind SQL injection to retrieve credential hashes and other sensitive data.
AnalysisAI
Authenticated users of ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3 can extract arbitrary data - including credential hashes - from the underlying database by abusing a time-based blind SQL injection in the back-office bulk photo-deletion handler. The root cause is a parameter-type bypass: submitting the check_photo parameter as an array causes its elements to slip past the clean_requests() sanitization in ClipBucket.class.php and reach photo_exists() in photos.class.php, where non-numeric values are concatenated directly into a SQL query. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires an authenticated ClipBucket v5 account (versions through 5.5.3) with access to the back-office bulk photo-deletion handler in manage_photos.php. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a moderate-risk, authentication-gated data-disclosure flaw rather than a critical exposure. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Apply the upstream fix for the check_photo array-handling issue - either the vendor commit 136dd2e4e73123f137478c72308e8c1d7be45a97 or the ClipBucket v5 release that incorporates it (tracked via https://github.com/MacWarrior/clipbucket-v5/releases/tag/5.5.3-%23182); note that the advisory states versions through 5.5.3 are vulnerable, so confirm with the vendor or the commit diff that the deployed build actually contains the patch rather than assuming 5.5.3 is fixed. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, inventory every ClipBucket instance and confirm which are running version 5.5.3 or earlier, then restrict or monitor access to manage_photos.php so only personnel who genuinely need bulk photo administration can reach it; enable and preserve web and database query logging for that endpoint so any time-based injection attempts are captured and reviewable. …
