DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). The supported version that is affected is 4.5.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Helidon, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Helidon accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Helidon accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.1 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N).

AnalysisAI

Cross-site scripting or authentication bypass in Oracle Helidon 4.1 Imperative Web Server (version 4.5.0) allows unauthenticated remote attackers to perform unauthorized read and write operations against Helidon-accessible data, with scope change extending impact to additional dependent products. Exploitation requires victim interaction, consistent with a reflected XSS or similar client-side injection pattern in the HTTP server component. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires that the target Helidon 4.5.0 Imperative Web Server is accessible over the network via HTTP and that a legitimate user (victim) can be induced to interact with a crafted request - for example, by clicking a malicious link. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 6.1 Medium score reflects a constrained but real threat: network-accessible (AV:N), low complexity (AC:L), no privileges required (PR:N), but dependent on user interaction (UI:R), which meaningfully reduces opportunistic exploitation potential. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An attacker crafts a malicious URL targeting the Helidon 4.5.0 Imperative Web Server that embeds a script payload or redirect in an HTTP request parameter. The attacker delivers the link to a target user via phishing email or malicious website. …
Remediation Consult Oracle's Critical Patch Update advisory for August 2026 at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html for the official patch. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
