DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). The supported version that is affected is 3.2.18. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Helidon accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Helidon accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Helidon. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 9.4 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:L).

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated remote compromise of Oracle Helidon 3.2.18 (Imperative Web Server component) lets network attackers read, alter, or destroy all data the framework can access and degrade its availability. The flaw is remotely reachable over HTTP with no authentication or user interaction and carries a CVSS 3.1 base score of 9.4. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation No special conditions - remote unauthenticated exploitation over HTTP against Oracle Helidon 3.2.18 running the Imperative Web Server component, per CVSS AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment This is a genuine high priority, not an inflated CVSS number: the vector AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N describes trivial remote reachability with no credentials, and the C:H/I:H impacts mean full read/write compromise of application data, tempered only by A:L (partial denial of service rather than full outage). … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An attacker who can reach a Helidon 3.2.18 endpoint over HTTP sends a crafted request that bypasses authentication and abuses the imperative web server's request handling, then reads or modifies backend data the application exposes and optionally degrades service availability. No credentials, user interaction, or local access are required, making the attack scriptable at scale. …
Remediation Apply the fix delivered in Oracle's August 2026 Critical Patch Update as documented at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html - Patch available per vendor advisory, though an exact fixed Helidon build number is not stated in the available data and should be taken directly from the CPU matrix. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI

Within 24 hours, identify all production and development systems running Oracle Helidon 3.2.18; isolate affected instances from untrusted network segments and restrict inbound HTTP access via firewall rules and Web Application Firewall policies; enable detailed access logging to support incident investigation if compromise occurred. …
