DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). The supported version that is affected is 4.5.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Helidon accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Helidon accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Helidon. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 9.4 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:L).

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated remote compromise in Oracle Helidon 4.5.0's Imperative Web Server component lets network attackers reach critical data and disrupt service over plain HTTP with no credentials and no user interaction. Oracle rates it CVSS 3.1 9.4, reflecting high confidentiality and integrity impact plus partial denial of service, and it was disclosed in the Oracle Critical Patch Update of August 2026. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation The concrete prerequisite is a deployment running Oracle Helidon 4.5.0 that exposes the Imperative Web Server component over HTTP and is network-reachable by the attacker. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The signals align strongly toward high real-world risk: the CVSS 3.1 vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N) describes network-reachable, low-complexity, unauthenticated exploitation with no user interaction, and the 9.4 base score is driven by C:H/I:H with only A:L (partial DoS). … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An attacker who can reach a Helidon 4.5.0 endpoint over HTTP sends a crafted request that bypasses authentication and returns or modifies data the server can access, then repeats requests to trigger a partial denial of service. Because no credentials, user interaction, or complex preconditions are required (AC:L/PR:N/UI:N), the scenario is achievable by any anonymous client with network line-of-sight to the service; no public exploit code is identified at this time, so exploitation would require attacker-developed tooling.
Remediation Apply the fix from the Oracle Critical Patch Update of August 2026 (https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html); patch available per vendor advisory, though an exact fixed Helidon build number is not stated in the provided data, so confirm the target version directly in the CPU matrix before upgrading. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI

Within 24 hours: Conduct asset inventory to identify all systems running Oracle Helidon 4.5.0 and map their network exposure; implement emergency network segmentation or firewall rules to restrict access to the Imperative Web Server component from untrusted networks. …
