1DescriptionCVE.org
Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). The supported version that is affected is 3.2.18. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Helidon, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Helidon accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Helidon accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.1 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N).
AnalysisAI
Cross-site scripting or equivalent client-side injection in Oracle Helidon 3.2.18's Imperative Web Server component allows unauthenticated remote attackers to compromise confidentiality and integrity of Helidon-accessible data when a victim user interacts with attacker-controlled content. The CVSS vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N) is a canonical XSS fingerprint - scope change combined with user interaction and partial C/I impact - despite the 'Authentication Bypass' tag in the intelligence metadata, which may indicate a secondary or misclassified characteristic. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires a victim user to actively interact with attacker-controlled content - specifically, to load or click a crafted URL or trigger a vulnerable HTTP response from the Helidon Imperative Web Server. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The NVD CVSS 3.1 base score of 6.1 (Medium) reflects constrained but real-world risk. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | An attacker identifies a Helidon 3.2.18 Imperative Web Server endpoint that reflects unsanitized input into HTTP responses. The attacker crafts a malicious URL embedding a script payload and delivers it to a target user - via phishing email, forum post, or malicious redirect - causing the victim's browser to execute the injected script within the Helidon application's security origin. … |
| Remediation | The primary remediation is to apply Oracle's August 2026 Critical Patch Update, detailed at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
