4DescriptionCVE.org
There is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in DASYLab due to improper validation of user-supplied data. This results in a read a past the end of an allocated heap buffer during string conversion. Successful exploitation requires an attacker to get a user to open a specially crafted .DSB file. This issue affects all versions before 2026.0.0.
AnalysisAI
Out-of-bounds heap read in DASYLab's .DSB file parser allows memory disclosure and potentially code execution when a victim opens a specially crafted workspace file. All DASYLab versions prior to 2026.0.0 are affected. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | The target must be running DASYLab prior to version 2026.0.0 and must open a specially crafted .DSB file provided by the attacker. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 score of 8.5 with vector AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H reflects high impact but a constrained attack vector: exploitation is local (file-based) and requires passive user interaction (opening a .DSB file). … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade to DASYLab 2026.0.0, which resolves the out-of-bounds read vulnerability per the measX security advisory (https://www.measx.com/en/service/productsecurity/security-updates-for-measx-software/159-securityupdates/1070-out-of-bounds-read-vulnerabilities-in-dasylab-2.html). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, inventory all DASYLab installations across the organization and disable network access to these systems where operationally feasible; immediately notify all users prohibiting the opening of .DSB workspace files from external, untrusted, or unverified sources. …
