1DescriptionCVE.org
An exploitable integer-overflow vulnerability exists within Iceni Argus. When it attempts to convert a malformed PDF to XML, it will attempt to convert each character from a font into a polygon and then attempt to rasterize these shapes. As the application attempts to iterate through the rows and initializing the polygon shape in the buffer, it will write outside of the bounds of said buffer. This can lead to code execution under the context of the account running it.
AnalysisAI
An exploitable integer-overflow vulnerability exists within Iceni Argus. Rated high severity (CVSS 7.8), this vulnerability is no authentication required, low attack complexity. Public exploit code available and no vendor patch available.
Technical ContextAI
This vulnerability is classified as Integer Overflow (CWE-190), which allows attackers to cause unexpected behavior through arithmetic overflow. Affected products include: Iceni Argus.
RemediationAI
No vendor patch is available at time of analysis. Monitor vendor advisories for updates. Validate arithmetic operations, use safe integer libraries, check bounds before allocation.
