AV:L and PR:H because the attacker needs admin access on a fabric-connected switch; AC:H because remote execution must be enabled (the 4.0 AT:P requirement); full root compromise gives C/I/A High.

3DescriptionCVE.org
An authentication bypass and command injection vulnerability exists in the inter-switch remote execution service of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1. When processing remote command execution IPC frames across the fabric, the receiving switch processes these commands at an elevated processing level without proper verification of transmitted parameters. This allows an attacker on a single fabric-connected switch to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary root commands locally or across other managed fabric members where remote execution functionality is enabled.
AnalysisAI
Privilege escalation and command injection in the inter-switch remote execution service of Brocade Fabric OS let an attacker who already holds high privileges on one fabric-joined switch bypass authentication checks on the receiving switch and execute arbitrary root commands, either locally or on other managed fabric members where remote command execution is enabled. Affected releases are Fabric OS versions before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1; switches running 9.2.2d or later are not affected. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires (1) an existing high-privilege foothold on at least one Fibre Channel switch that is already joined to the target fabric, and (2) the inter-switch remote command execution functionality to be enabled on the receiving fabric members - the description explicitly scopes impact to members 'where remote execution functionality is enabled.' The vulnerable component is the inter-switch remote execution service processing remote command IPC frames; the flaw is missing verification of transmitted parameters, letting a fabric-connected switch issue commands processed at an elevated level. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuinely serious but access-gated vulnerability, best characterized as a privilege-escalation/lateral-movement flaw rather than a mass-exploitable remote entry point. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade Brocade Fabric OS to 9.2.2d or later - 9.2.2d is the vendor-released fix version for the 9.x branch, and switches already on 9.2.2d are not affected. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, inventory all Brocade Fabric OS switches in the environment and flag every device running a release below 9.2.2d or within the 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1 range; confirm which of those have the inter-switch remote execution feature enabled and, where business operations permit, disable that feature on receiving fabric members as the immediate risk reduction step, while tightening management-plane access control lists and auditing all accounts holding high-privilege switch roles. …
