heym, a workflow automation platform, stores and returns multiple capability secrets in plaintext in versions prior to 0.0.91. Affected secrets include webhook header-auth values (returned in cleartext by GET /api/workflows/{id} and persisted unsanitized into execution history), MCP API keys (stored as a plaintext column, returned in config/list responses, and accepted via the ?key= query string so they leak into logs, proxies and Referer headers), portal session tokens (stored and validated by plaintext equality with a 168-hour TTL), workflow execution JWTs (stored in full and re-listed by GET .../execution-tokens), Discord interaction tokens (the full interaction body is stored in execution history), and global variables. A user with read access to a workflow, share/team membership, or anyone able to read the database, a backup, or logs can recover these secrets and replay them to execute workflows or act as the secret owner.
AnalysisAI
Cleartext storage and over-exposure of multiple capability secrets in Heym, a workflow automation platform, affects all versions prior to 0.0.91 and allows anyone with read access to a workflow, share/team membership, or read access to the database, a backup, or logs to recover and replay those secrets to execute workflows or act as the secret owner. Exposed values include webhook header-auth credentials returned in cleartext by GET /api/workflows/{id} and persisted into execution history, MCP API keys stored as a plaintext column and accepted via a ?key= query string that leaks into logs, proxies, and Referer headers, portal session tokens validated by plaintext equality with a 168-hour TTL, workflow execution JWTs re-listed by GET .../execution-tokens, Discord interaction tokens, and global variables. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires one of several access levels rather than a special product configuration: read access to a workflow, share/team membership, or read access to the database, a backup, or logs. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 base score is 6.9 (medium) with the vendor vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N - network-reachable, low complexity, but requiring high privileges and scoring confidentiality impact only. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Vendor-released patch: upgrade Heym to 0.0.91 or later, which remediates the plaintext storage and over-exposure of capability secrets; see the GitHub advisory at https://github.com/heymrun/heym/security/advisories/GHSA-6x65-w7q7-wg93 and the VulnCheck advisory at https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/heym-before-0.0.91-multiple-secrets-plaintext-storage. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
