3DescriptionCVE.org
The Easy Appointments plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 3.12.27 via the handle_customers_ajax. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to extract the full customer dataset from the ea_customers table, including personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, mobile numbers, dates of birth, and physical addresses.
AnalysisAI
Any authenticated WordPress user holding contributor-level capabilities or higher can pull the entire customer dataset out of the Easy Appointments plugin (all versions up to and including 3.12.27) because the handle_customers_ajax handler returns ea_customers records without enforcing an adequate capability check. The exposed records contain personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, mobile numbers, dates of birth, and physical addresses, so the impact is a high-confidentiality, read-only disclosure with no integrity or availability effect, consistent with the assessed CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N score of 6.5 (MEDIUM). …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires an authenticated WordPress account with contributor-level capabilities or higher on a site running Easy Appointments <=3.12.27; the attacker then invokes the handle_customers_ajax action, which fails to enforce a proper capability check before returning the ea_customers records. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuine but moderate-priority issue whose CVSS 6.5 (MEDIUM) is well-calibrated. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Apply the upstream fix for this authorization gap - the plugin changeset at https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3595856 documents the code change (upstream fix available via changeset; the released patched version number is not independently confirmed in the provided data, so verify the fixed build on the plugin's WordPress.org page before relying on it and do not assume a version number). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
