DescriptionCVE.org

A flaw was found in odh-dashboard in Red Hat OpenShift AI. The backend-for-frontend route GET /api/nim-serving/:nimResource reads Kubernetes Secrets using the dashboard service account and returns the full Secret object, including .data, without an authorization check. Any authenticated dashboard user can retrieve the cluster NVIDIA NGC API key Secret (apiKeySecret) and the NIM image pull secret (nimPullSecret). Create and delete of the same NIM credential are admin-gated; the read path is not. This is missing authorization (CWE-862) and insufficiently protected credentials (CWE-522). It is distinct from CVE-2026-5483 (service-account token leak in the Kubernetes client response wrapper on the same route) and CVE-2026-16456 (odh-model-controller cross-namespace confused deputy).

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated-read path exposure in the odh-dashboard component of Red Hat OpenShift AI allows any valid dashboard user to retrieve full Kubernetes Secret objects - including the cluster NVIDIA NGC API key (apiKeySecret) and NIM image pull secret (nimPullSecret) - via GET /api/nim-serving/:nimResource without an authorization check. The route uses the dashboard's elevated service account to proxy Kubernetes API calls, bypassing the admin-gating that protects the equivalent create and delete operations on the same NIM credentials. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Requires a valid Red Hat OpenShift AI dashboard login at any privilege level - no administrative role, group membership, or special permission is needed beyond basic dashboard authentication (CVSS PR:L). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 6.5 vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N) accurately captures the threat profile: a valid dashboard login is the only prerequisite, exploitation is low-complexity and fully automatable, and the confidentiality impact is high given the sensitivity of NVIDIA NGC credentials. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Consult the Red Hat advisory at https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-86332 and the Bugzilla tracker at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2529287 for a confirmed patched release - no specific fix version is available in the provided intelligence. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
