DescriptionNVD

In versions below 3.2.2 of the Zoom app for Splunk SOAR, a user who holds a role with permission to run actions could expose meeting and personal meeting ID passwords by invoking one of the create meeting, update meeting, or update user settings actions, because the affected password and pmi_password parameters are not masked and are shown in cleartext in the user interface. The information disclosure is possible because the app does not mark the affected action parameters as passwords. For more information see Run an action in Splunk SOAR (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/use-splunk-soar-on-premises/8.6.0/use-the-command-line-interface-to-perform-tasks-in-splunk-soar-on-premises/run-an-action-in-splunk-soar-on-premises).

AnalysisAI

Cleartext exposure of Zoom meeting passwords in the Splunk SOAR interface affects all deployments running the Zoom app for Splunk SOAR below version 3.2.2. Any authenticated SOAR user holding a role with permission to run actions can invoke the create meeting, update meeting, or update user settings actions and observe meeting passwords and personal meeting ID (PMI) passwords in plaintext within the SOAR UI. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires: (1) a valid user account in the Splunk SOAR instance holding a role that grants permission to run actions (not a default read-only role); (2) the Zoom app for Splunk SOAR installed at a version below 3.2.2; and (3) invocation of one of the three specific actions - create meeting, update meeting, or update user settings - with a password or pmi_password parameter provided. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 score of 4.3 (AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N) reflects an accurate framing: exploitation requires a valid authenticated session with at least a low-privileged action-runner role in SOAR, limiting the realistic attacker population to internal or compromised SOAR users. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An authenticated SOAR operator with an action-runner role navigates to the Zoom app actions panel and invokes the create meeting or update meeting action, supplying a meeting password. The password and PMI password values appear in cleartext in the SOAR action run interface, which may be visible to other users who share the same SOAR dashboard view or who review action run history logs. …
Remediation Upgrade the Zoom app for Splunk SOAR to version 3.2.2 or later, which resolves the cleartext exposure by correctly marking the affected action parameters as password fields. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
