DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). The supported version that is affected is 4.5.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Helidon accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Helidon accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Helidon. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.3 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L).

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated remote exploitation of Oracle Helidon 4.5.0's Imperative Web Server component allows network-adjacent attackers to partially compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability via standard HTTP. The CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N vector confirms zero authentication or user interaction is required, and attack complexity is low - meaning successful exploitation demands minimal attacker skill or infrastructure. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation The CVSS vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U) confirms that exploitation requires only network-level HTTP access to a Helidon 4.5.0 instance running the Imperative Web Server component - no authentication credentials, user interaction, or non-default configuration is necessary. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 base score of 7.3 (High) is well-supported by the AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N vector, which collectively indicate a low-friction, unauthenticated network attack requiring no special tooling - even a mid-sized municipal IT team in leszno running microservices on Helidon 4.5.0 should treat this as urgent given that the zero-authentication network path eliminates most common mitigating factors. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An unauthenticated remote attacker with network access to a Helidon 4.5.0 Imperative Web Server instance sends a crafted HTTP request that triggers the underlying flaw in request processing or access control logic. With no authentication or user interaction required and low attack complexity, the attacker can read a subset of application-accessible data, insert or modify records within the application's data scope, and cause partial degradation of service availability. …
Remediation The primary remediation is to apply the patch or upgrade provided through Oracle's Critical Patch Update for August 2026, available at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
