DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). The supported version that is affected is 4.5.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Helidon accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Helidon accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Helidon. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.3 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L).

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated remote exploitation of Oracle Helidon 4.5.0's Imperative Web Server component via HTTP allows attackers to read a subset of accessible data, perform unauthorized write/modify operations, and cause a partial denial of service. The CVSS vector confirms network accessibility with no authentication, no user interaction, and low attack complexity, making this easily exploitable against exposed deployments. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation No special conditions are required beyond network access - the CVSS vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N) confirms remote unauthenticated exploitation against Helidon 4.5.0 deployments running the Imperative Web Server component over HTTP without any required authentication or user interaction. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 base score of 7.3 (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L) classifies this as High severity with a straightforward exploitation path - network-accessible, unauthenticated, and low complexity. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An unauthenticated attacker with network access sends a specially crafted HTTP request to a Helidon 4.5.0 Imperative Web Server endpoint. The server processes the malformed or unexpected request in a way that violates access controls, allowing the attacker to read restricted data records, insert or modify data within the Helidon-accessible data layer, and degrade service availability. …
Remediation Consult Oracle's Critical Patch Update advisory for August 2026 at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html to obtain the patched version - the exact fixed release is not independently confirmed from the available data, so the advisory should be the authoritative source. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI
