kkFileView is a universal file online preview project based on Spring Boot. Prior to 5.0.1, the unauthenticated GET /addTask endpoint in kkFileView is omitted from TrustHostFilter and TrustDirFilter in server/src/main/java/cn/keking/config/WebConfig.java, allowing FileConvertQueueTask to fetch an attacker-selected URL after FileHandlerService#getFileAttribute uses the fullfilename parameter to force an OFFICE, COMPRESS, or CAD type. This issue is fixed in version 5.0.1.
AnalysisAI
Server-Side Request Forgery in kkFileView before 5.0.1 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to make the application server issue HTTP requests to arbitrary internal or external URLs via the unprotected /addTask endpoint. The vulnerability arises because /addTask was excluded from both TrustHostFilter and TrustDirFilter in WebConfig.java, and the fullfilename parameter can be manipulated to coerce file type classification as OFFICE, COMPRESS, or CAD, triggering FileConvertQueueTask to fetch attacker-chosen URLs. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | No special conditions are required beyond a network-accessible kkFileView instance running a version prior to 5.0.1 - the /addTask endpoint is unauthenticated and the filter bypass exists in the default configuration. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 3.1 vector AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:N yields a 5.8 score, which reflects a network-exploitable, zero-authentication SSRF with Scope:Changed - indicating the server-side fetch can reach systems beyond the vulnerable application itself, such as internal APIs, cloud metadata endpoints, or RFC 1918 network resources. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | An unauthenticated attacker sends a GET request to /addTask with a fullfilename parameter ending in a crafted extension (e.g., .docx or .zip) pointing to an internal URL such as http://192.168.1.1/admin/api or the cloud IMDS endpoint http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/. Because /addTask bypasses both TrustHostFilter and TrustDirFilter, the server's FileConvertQueueTask issues an outbound HTTP fetch to the attacker-controlled URL and processes the response, potentially exposing internal network topology, service banners, or cloud credentials. … |
| Remediation | Upgrade kkFileView to version 5.0.1 or later, which resolves the issue by registering /addTask in both TrustHostFilter and TrustDirFilter URL patterns in WebConfig.java, as confirmed by commit 32a887aa2cd70228998c617c4e7df6cfcf3fe709 and the v5.0.1 release (https://github.com/kekingcn/kkFileView/releases/tag/v5.0.1). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
