Unauthenticated network request with no interaction leaks high-value credentials, so PR:N/UI:N/C:H; base integrity is N since writes occur through a separate WooCommerce API auth step (downstream, out of base scope).

DescriptionCVE.org

The MgoSync WordPress plugin before 2.1.7 does not have authorization controls on one of its REST API endpoints, allowing unauthenticated users to retrieve the stored WooCommerce API credentials, including a read/write consumer key and secret, from a configured site.

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated, network-reachable attackers can read the WooCommerce API consumer key and secret stored by the MgoSync WordPress plugin in any version before 2.1.7, because one of its REST API endpoints performs no authorization check (CVSS 7.5, AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N). Exploitation is trivial and publicly available exploit code exists, though the leak only yields credentials on sites that have completed the MgoSync WooCommerce credential setup; from there, read/write access to the connected store's REST API further depends on that API being reachable and the leaked key retaining its original scope. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation No special conditions for the disclosure itself - remote unauthenticated exploitation against default configurations of any site running MgoSync before 2.1.7, requiring only network reachability to the WordPress REST API. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment This is a genuine high-priority issue where the CVSS 7.5 rating is well-supported by the real-world signal set. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Vendor-released patch: upgrade MgoSync to 2.1.7 or later, which restores the authorization check on the vulnerable REST endpoint. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI

Within 24 hours, inventory all WordPress sites using the MgoSync plugin and upgrade every instance below 2.1.7 to vendor-released version 2.1.7; for any site where MgoSync WooCommerce credentials were configured, immediately rotate the WooCommerce API consumer key and secret because the exposed key is read/write, then review WooCommerce REST API access logs for unauthorized activity. …
