4DescriptionCVE.org
CyberPanel before 3.0.5 fails to enforce two-factor authentication on API endpoints, allowing attackers to bypass TOTP requirements using password-derived tokens. Attackers who obtain an administrator's password can derive API tokens and perform administrative operations or create authenticated sessions without the second factor.
AnalysisAI
CyberPanel before 3.0.5 allows attackers who have obtained an administrator's password to bypass two-factor authentication entirely on API endpoints by deriving valid API tokens from the password alone, without satisfying the TOTP requirement. This reduces 2FA-protected admin accounts to effective single-factor authentication at the API layer, enabling full administrative operations or session creation. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires the attacker to already possess the target administrator's password - this is the primary gating condition. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N, score 8.6) correctly reflects that administrator-level credentials are a prerequisite (PR:H), meaning this vulnerability is not useful to an unauthenticated attacker starting from zero. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade to CyberPanel 3.0.5 or later, as confirmed by the vendor security advisory at https://github.com/usmannasir/cyberpanel/security/advisories/GHSA-h2f7-38ww-5pwc. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, audit all CyberPanel installations to identify current versions and document which systems require patching, then instruct administrators to strengthen password policies and enable monitoring of API access logs for anomalies. …
