Network-reachable authenticated upload gives AV:N/PR:L; the required race against GnuPG temp files and worker-restart timing justify AC:H; injected code runs as the app process, so C:H/I:H/A:H.

SysReptor is a fully customizable pentest reporting platform. Prior to 2026.61, authenticated users of SysReptor Professional can upload image files whose formats cause image processing to invoke Ghostscript, allowing embedded PostScript to operate in the shared temporary directory. An attacker can combine that behavior with a race involving GnuPG configuration files in temporary subdirectories to cause GnuPG to copy attacker-controlled Python code into the application code directory. The injected code executes with the privileges of the SysReptor application process after a worker restart. The Community edition is not affected. Version 2026.58 contains a partial mitigation, and this issue is fully fixed in version 2026.61.
AnalysisAI
Authenticated users of SysReptor Professional can turn a crafted image upload into arbitrary code execution: image formats that cause the platform's processing pipeline to invoke Ghostscript allow embedded PostScript to run inside a shared temporary directory, and a race against GnuPG configuration files created in temporary subdirectories makes GnuPG copy attacker-controlled Python into the application code directory, where it executes with the SysReptor process's privileges after the next worker restart. The Community edition is not affected, and exploitation requires a valid authenticated account plus a timing-sensitive race. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires an authenticated SysReptor account (PR:L) on the Professional edition only - the Community edition is not affected. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The vendor CVSS 3.1 vector CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H yields 8.8 (High), representing authenticated remote code execution. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Vendor-released patch: upgrade to SysReptor 2026.61 (https://github.com/Syslifters/sysreptor/releases/tag/2026.61), which fully resolves the Ghostscript/GnuPG temporary-directory chain; note that 2026.58 is only a partial mitigation and should not be considered sufficient. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, upgrade all SysReptor Professional instances to version 2026.61 to fully remediate the vulnerability; if immediate upgrade is not feasible, apply the partial mitigation by upgrading to version 2026.58 and strictly limit authenticated access to trusted users. …
