5DescriptionCVE.org
Ebyte gateway product's vendor configuration utility does not require authentication before allowing certain disruptive administrative actions when default credentials remain configured. An unauthenticated attacker on the adjacent network could reboot the device or restore factory settings, resulting in a loss of configuration and service availability.
AnalysisAI
Unauthenticated reboot and factory-reset of Ebyte NE2-D11 gateways is possible from the adjacent network when default credentials have not been changed. The vendor configuration utility (CWE-306) enforces no authentication gate on high-impact administrative actions under that condition, allowing an attacker with LAN access to erase device configuration and cause sustained service outages. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Two simultaneous conditions must be present: (1) the Ebyte NE2-D11 must be running with factory default credentials still configured - devices where credentials have been updated are not vulnerable as described; and (2) the attacker must have Layer-2 adjacent network access (AV:A per the CVSS 4.0 vector), meaning internet-based exploitation is not possible. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 score of 7.2 with vector AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:H reflects high integrity and availability impact against the device itself, with no confidentiality exposure. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | The immediate compensating control that eliminates the described exploitation condition is to change default credentials on all deployed Ebyte NE2-D11 devices; the vulnerability is only exploitable when factory defaults remain in place. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours: audit all Ebyte NE2-D11 gateways to confirm default credentials have been changed and validate network access controls prevent unauthorized local network connections. …
