2DescriptionNVD
In versions below 1.0.5 of the RSA SecurID Authentication Manager app for Splunk SOAR, a user who holds a role with permission to run actions could expose a sensitive token serial by invoking either the enable token or revoke token action, because the action's token_serial parameter is not masked and is shown in cleartext in the user interface. The information disclosure is possible because the app does not mark the affected action parameter as a password. For more information see Run an action in Splunk SOAR (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/use-splunk-soar-on-premises/8.6.0/use-the-command-line-interface-to-perform-tasks-in-splunk-soar-on-premises/run-an-action-in-splunk-soar-on-premises).
AnalysisAI
Information disclosure in the RSA SecurID Authentication Manager app for Splunk SOAR (versions below 1.0.5) exposes RSA token serial numbers in cleartext to any authenticated user with action-run permissions. The app's 'enable token' and 'revoke token' actions fail to mark the token_serial parameter as a password field, causing it to render unmasked in the Splunk SOAR user interface. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires an active, authenticated Splunk SOAR user account assigned a role that grants permission to run actions within the platform - specifically the ability to invoke actions in the RSA SecurID Authentication Manager app. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 3.1 score of 4.3 (AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N) accurately reflects the constrained but real risk: network-accessible, low complexity, but requiring authenticated access with a specific action-run role. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | An insider or compromised Splunk SOAR account holding a role with action-run permissions navigates to the RSA SecurID Authentication Manager app and invokes the 'enable token' or 'revoke token' action against a target user's token. The token_serial parameter, displayed unmasked in the Splunk SOAR interface, is noted by the attacker and passed to an external party to assist in targeted RSA SecurID token manipulation or account takeover attempts. … |
| Remediation | Upgrade the RSA SecurID Authentication Manager app for Splunk SOAR to version 1.0.5 or later, which is confirmed available per the Splunk vendor advisory at https://advisory.splunk.com/advisories/SVD-2026-0806. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
