DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). The supported version that is affected is 3.2.19. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. While the vulnerability is in Helidon, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Helidon accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Helidon accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.2 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N).

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated network exploitation of Oracle Helidon 3.2.19's Imperative Web Server component allows remote attackers to bypass authentication over HTTP, gaining unauthorized read access to a subset of data and the ability to insert, update, or delete accessible data. The CVSS S:C scope change is particularly significant: in microservices environments where Helidon acts as a service layer, successful exploitation may cascade to impact downstream or co-located systems beyond the initially compromised component. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Oracle confirms only Helidon version 3.2.19 with the Imperative Web Server component as affected. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 score of 7.2 is driven by the fully permissive attack profile (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N) combined with the scope change (S:C), partially offset by low rather than high confidentiality and integrity impacts (C:L/I:L) and no availability impact (A:N). … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An unauthenticated attacker on the network sends a crafted HTTP request to a Helidon 3.2.19 Imperative Web Server endpoint, triggering the authentication bypass to gain unauthorized access. The attacker then reads a subset of data accessible to the Helidon service and performs unauthorized data modifications. …
Remediation Apply Oracle's Critical Security Patch Update for August 2026, referenced at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI

Within 24 hours, identify all systems running Oracle Helidon 3.2.19 and assess network accessibility; enable enhanced HTTP request logging and configure security alerts for suspicious authentication patterns. …
