DescriptionCVE.org

Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 15.115.0 and 16.27.0, the public request-data web form and PersonalDataDownloadRequest class in frappe/website/doctype/personal_data_download_request/personal_data_download_request.py return distinguishable response shapes for registered and unregistered email addresses, including the user_name field and persistence behavior. A remote attacker can compare the responses to enumerate registered users. This issue is fixed in versions 15.115.0 and 16.27.0.

AnalysisAI

User enumeration via observable response discrepancy in Frappe's personal data download (GDPR) endpoint allows unauthenticated remote attackers to determine whether any email address corresponds to a registered account. The PersonalDataDownloadRequest handler in frappe/website/doctype/personal_data_download_request/personal_data_download_request.py returned the user_name field and persisted the document to the database only for known users, producing structurally distinct responses that an attacker could compare to systematically harvest registered email addresses. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires the Frappe application to expose the /request-data personal data download web form to the attacker's network - this endpoint is designed for unauthenticated public access and is enabled by default in Frappe installations. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N) accurately represents a low-complexity, unauthenticated network attack with constrained impact - confidentiality is limited to user existence disclosure, with no integrity or availability impact. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Upgrade Frappe to version 15.115.0 (v15 branch) or 16.27.0 (v16 branch); both are confirmed vendor-released patches per the GitHub release tags. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
