DescriptionCVE.org

Open WebUI is an extensible, feature-rich, and user-friendly self-hosted AI platform. From 0.7.0 before 0.10.0, GET /api/v1/channels//members returned full UserModelResponse objects for channel members, including settings.ui.toolServers[].key and webhook configuration, allowing a normal channel participant to retrieve other users’ sensitive settings. This issue is fixed in version 0.10.0.

AnalysisAI

{id}/members endpoint returns full UserModelResponse objects, inadvertently exposing toolServers API keys and webhook configuration belonging to other channel members. No public exploit is identified at time of analysis, but the low exploitation complexity and high value of the exposed credentials (tool server keys enable lateral access to integrated AI tooling infrastructure) elevate practical risk above what the 6.0 CVSS score alone suggests.

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation The attacker must have a valid authenticated session in the Open WebUI instance (PR:L - a registered user account). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N) scores 6.0, reflecting network accessibility, low complexity, low privilege requirement, and high confidentiality impact. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An authenticated attacker with a low-privilege Open WebUI account joins or is already a member of a shared channel. The attacker issues a single HTTP GET request to /api/v1/channels/{id}/members using their session token and receives a JSON response containing other members' toolServers API keys and webhook URLs. …
Remediation Upgrade to Open WebUI version 0.10.0 or later, which resolves this issue via commit fbcdcf146b99b5002705060a8243eee769108f9e (https://github.com/open-webui/open-webui/commit/fbcdcf146b99b5002705060a8243eee769108f9e) and is available at https://github.com/open-webui/open-webui/releases/tag/v0.10.0. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
