5DescriptionCVE.org
The Tutor LMS WordPress plugin before 4.0.6 does not validate values used to build a database query, and does not restrict which template file a request may load, allowing unauthenticated users to inject SQL and to read question and answer content belonging to courses that are not publicly available.
The injected text reaches the query as grammar rather than as data, and on the database engines tested it does not yield extraction of arbitrary data, so the confidentiality impact is the disclosed course content rather than the database at large.
AnalysisAI
SQL injection and unrestricted template file loading in the Tutor LMS WordPress plugin before version 4.0.6 exposes non-public course question-and-answer content to unauthenticated remote attackers. User-supplied values are incorporated directly into database query grammar without validation, and no restriction is enforced on which template file a request may load. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | No authentication is required - the vulnerability is reachable by any unauthenticated HTTP client with network access to the WordPress installation. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 3.1 base score of 5.3 (Medium) accurately reflects the constrained confidentiality impact: the SQL injection does not allow full database extraction but does expose non-public course Q&A content, which may be commercially sensitive for course creators. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | The primary fix is to upgrade Tutor LMS to version 4.0.6 or later, which is confirmed available from the vendor and documented in the WPScan advisory at https://wpscan.com/vulnerability/8830ba91-c316-4823-90a8-0cf0e527468f/. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
