Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 15.86.0 and 14.99.2, certain requests were vulnerable to path traversal attacks, wherein some files from the server could be retrieved if the full path was known. Sites hosted on Frappe Cloud, and even other setups that are behind a reverse proxy like NGINX are unaffected. This would mainly affect someone directly using werkzeug/gunicorn. In those cases, either an upgrade or changing the setup to use a reverse proxy is recommended. This vulnerability is fixed in 15.86.0 and 14.99.2.
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 15.86.0 and 14.99.2, a certain endpoint was vulnerable to error-based SQL injection due to lack of validation of parameters. Some information like version could be retrieved. This vulnerability is fixed in 15.86.0 and 14.99.2.

Stored cross-site scripting (XSS) in Frappe Learning 2.39.1 and earlier allows an authenticated user with permission to create or edit Job postings to inject HTML into Job Form input fields (excluding the description field), which then executes in the context of another user who views the affected Job Card. Exploitation requires a valid account and victim interaction (viewing the job posting); no public exploit code has been identified, and the EPSS score is 0.18% (7th percentile), indicating very low predicted exploitation activity. The vendor has released a fix commit that escapes HTML in vulnerable fields.
Frappe Learning (frappe/lms) versions prior to 2.38.0 stored student-uploaded assignment attachments as public files, so anyone who obtains or guesses the file URL can download them without authentication. The exposure is unauthenticated per the CVSS vector (PR:N) but is gated by URL knowledge - there is no open directory listing described, so practical risk depends on link leakage via referrer headers, shared links, logs, or guessable paths. Vendor-released patch: 2.38.0, which forces assignment uploads to be private by default; EPSS is low at 0.29% (19th percentile), no public exploit code has been identified at time of analysis, and the issue is not in CISA KEV. Impact is confidentiality-only, confined to student-submitted assignment content.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) in Frappe LMS 2.35.0 Course Handler allows authenticated users with high privileges to inject malicious scripts via the Description argument when course creation or modification requires user interaction, resulting in integrity impact to stored content. The vulnerability has publicly available exploit code and a CVSS score of 1.9, indicating minimal real-world risk despite XSS classification; however, active exploitation probability (EPSS 0.07%) remains very low, suggesting this is a low-priority vulnerability except in multi-tenant environments where malicious admins pose insider threats.
Frappe LMS versions 2.34.x and 2.35.0 contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in an incomplete fix for CVE-2025-55006, allowing authenticated remote attackers with high privileges to inject malicious scripts that execute in user browsers. Publicly available exploit code exists, and while the CVSS score of 4.8 is moderate, the low EPSS percentile (21%) and requirement for privileged user interaction suggest limited real-world exploitation likelihood despite public disclosure.
Frappe LMS 2.35.0 contains improper access controls in the Unpublished Course Handler component at the /courses/ endpoint that allows authenticated remote attackers to access unauthorized information. The vulnerability requires high attack complexity and authenticated access, limiting real-world exploitation despite publicly available exploit code. CVSS 1.3 and EPSS 0.04% (11th percentile) indicate low practical risk despite public POC availability.
Information disclosure vulnerability in Frappe LMS 2.35.0 allows remote unauthenticated attackers to access sensitive assignment picture data through direct requests to the /files/ endpoint with high attack complexity. The vulnerability carries a CVSS score of 2.9 with low confidentiality impact, and publicly available exploit code exists, though real-world exploitation risk remains minimal given the high complexity requirement and low EPSS score of 0.04%.
