The technique list with ATT&CK links and the kill-chain view is part of the Basic plan and up.

Exploitation Conditions

Requires an authenticated GLPI account with the hotliner or technician role that has access to the LDAP user-import feature, and the instance must be configured to authenticate/import users from an LDAP directory with a configured default filter. Exploitation is limited to reading LDAP objects the default filter was meant to exclude - there is no write, code execution, or impact to GLPI's own data. Limiting factors: privilege requirement (PR:H per NVD; realistically an elevated helpdesk role), an operational LDAP integration must exist, and only versions before 10.0.26 / 11.0.8 are affected.

Impact

This is a modest, well-gated information-disclosure issue that CVSS metrics correctly rank as low-medium (NVD 4.0 base 4.6). The vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N models it as network-reachable but privilege-gated (PR:H) with only subsequent-system confidentiality (SC:H, VC/VI/VA all N) - i.e. no impact to GLPI itself, only leakage from the connected LDAP directory. There is no EPSS score, no CISA KEV listing, and no public exploit identified at time of analysis, so all real-world-exploitation signals point to low urgency. The source commit confirms the true nature precisely: buildLdapFilter() interpolated an attacker-controlled criterion value straight into an LDAP filter string, so this is CWE-90 LDAP filter injection, not the 'Authentication Bypass' the tags claim. The main uncertainty is PR: NVD chose PR:H, but the description says a hotliner or technician (elevated helpdesk roles, not administrators) can trigger it via the user-import feature, so PR:L is arguably more accurate - this raises rather than lowers real-world reachability slightly. Overall a genuine but niche defense-in-depth fix, not a priority-patch emergency.

Exploit ScenarioDerived

An authenticated GLPI user holding a hotliner or technician role opens the LDAP user-import screen and supplies a search criterion containing LDAP filter metacharacters (e.g. parentheses, wildcards, or boolean operators). Because the value is concatenated into the LDAP filter without escaping, the injected clause overrides the administrator's configured default filter, returning directory objects (users/accounts) that were intentionally excluded. No public exploit code exists, but the technique is trivial for anyone who understands LDAP filter syntax.

AnalysisAIv1 – Sep 25, 2026

LDAP filter bypass in GLPI versions prior to 10.0.26 and 11.0.8 allows an authenticated hotliner or technician with access to the user-import feature to inject crafted criteria and read LDAP objects that the configured default filter was intended to exclude. The issue is a limited information-disclosure flaw: it does not grant write access, code execution, or access to GLPI's own data, and exploitation requires an existing LDAP integration with a configured default filter. No public exploit code was identified at time of analysis, and NVD rates it CVSS 4.6.

RemediationAI

Upgrade to GLPI 10.0.26 or 11.0.8, which contain the LDAP filter escaping fix; vendor advisory GHSA-3cgm-rj32-hfwf and release tags list the patched builds. If immediate upgrade is not possible, disable the LDAP user-import feature or remove its access from hotliner and technician roles until the fix is applied, accepting that this blocks legitimate helpdesk-driven user creation and synchronization. Additionally, restrict the LDAP bind account used by GLPI to the minimum base DN and read scope needed for legitimate imports, so a bypass yields fewer directory objects; this can break imports that depend on broad directory visibility. Monitor LDAP queries for unexpected filter syntax or broadened scopes from GLPI hosts as a compensating detection measure.

Technical ContextAI · show details

GLPI's LDAP integration builds directory search filters from administrator-defined criteria during user import and authentication; CVE-2026-49469 is CWE-90 (LDAP injection) because the value element in AuthLDAP::buildLdapFilter was concatenated into the filter without LDAP escaping. A crafted value passed through the user import feature can alter the LDAP query structure and bypass the configured default LDAP filter, exposing directory objects outside the intended scope. The upstream fix in commit 4fb3056 and companion commit d413b48 applies ldap_escape($value, '', LDAP_ESCAPE_FILTER), neutralizing special filter characters. Although the supplied tags include 'Code Injection', the available assessment and fix indicate LDAP filter injection and information disclosure, not remote code execution. Affected builds are all GLPI releases from 0.70 through before 10.0.26, and 11.0.x before 11.0.8.

DescriptionCVE.org

GLPI is a free asset and IT management software package. From 0.70 until 10.0.26 and 11.0.8, an authenticated hotliner or technician can submit crafted criteria through the user import feature to bypass the configured default LDAP filter. This allows access to LDAP objects that the default filter was intended to exclude. This issue is fixed in versions 11.0.8 and 10.0.26.
