SQL/HQL injection allows both reading and modifying unauthorized data (description says 'view or modify'), so C:H/I:H, not the vendor's C:N; PR:H because valid admin credentials are required.

2DescriptionNVD
A vulnerability in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Cisco ISE Passive Identity Connector (ISE-PIC) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct an SQL or HQL injection attack on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input to the affected APIs before it is used to build database queries. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary SQL or HQL queries against the underlying database, which could allow the attacker to view or modify data that they are not authorized to access. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid administrative credentials.
AnalysisAI
SQL and HQL injection in the management APIs of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Cisco ISE Passive Identity Connector (ISE-PIC) allows an authenticated, high-privileged administrator to execute arbitrary SQL or Hibernate Query Language statements against the product's underlying database, enabling access to or modification of data the attacker is not authorized to view or change. The flaw (CWE-564) stems from insufficient validation of user-supplied input passed to APIs that build database queries, and is reachable over the network without user interaction against affected 3.1 through 3.5 release trains; exploitation requires valid administrative credentials (CVSS 3.1 PR:H), which is the principal limiting factor. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials on the target Cisco ISE or ISE-PIC device (PR:H) - this is the primary limiting factor, restricting the attack surface to authenticated high-privilege admins or attackers who have compromised such an account. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The vendor scores this CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N (4.9, Medium). … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Patch status is not confirmed by the data available here: no fixed release version is enumerated in the provided inputs, so administrators should consult Cisco's advisory at https://sec.cloudapps.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-ise-multisql-inject-JnHK54Rq for the authoritative fixed-software table and apply the recommended upgrade for the affected 3.1 through 3.5 trains (note that the advisory may direct upgrades to a specific maintenance patch or to a later release train, and ISE upgrades are non-trivial, multi-node operations typically staged through the ISE CLI/Admin portal). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
